Could it be that you are watching too many sitcoms?

I stopped watching TV years ago, and find that my work, my play, my few friends and family are enough to keep me quite entertained. Just sitting on the porch, observing a fine view, makes me happy. Thoughtful, calm, and happy.

What a super query. The Simpsons is my popular sitcom, I definitely love The Simpsons, yet thank goodness my husband by no potential resembles Homer.
