i don't know about you but at 5 am i am usually still asleep and don't need daylight, but at 5 pm i am awake and prefer light to dark. In that respect, if we change the time so that it is light at 6 am instead of 5 am, and dark at 6pm instead of 5pm, i can keep the lights off for an extra hour per day. that's 365 hours per year of energy saved. And that is just at my house. What if everyone on my street were able to do this. What about the 400,000 people in my city? what about the 30 million people in my country. That is 10 billion, 950 million hours of energy saved in one country alone. I don't know what that translates to in carbon emissions, but it sounds pretty good to me. Count me in for daylight savings time

I think it's useful because in the winter, the day gets darker faster. So we set the clock back to get an extra hour of daylight.

I find daylight saving useful because sometimes I have to walk home around 4 or 5pm after school and it's REALLYREALLY dark already. Like the sun's almost set. So having that extra hour comes in handy and makes me feel less scared. BESIDES sleeping that extra hour is good. :]

I don't know if it helps, but it sure is a lot more pleasant to go to work in day light and come home in the same.

I kind of like daylight savings time better than real time. It is always depressing going back to real time, because that means getting up one hour earlier.

Daylight savings time was started to save fuel. It gives us one more hour to have daylight without burning fuel to be able to see.

Yeah, I enjoy those late summer days. Good for doing repairs around the homestead after dinner.

I think to make the days longer during summer, and the nights shorter during the winter.
