Call me stupid----but I go through a "grieving process" after the World Series, maybe like some people feel depressed when Christmas is over. I think our interests have a lot to do with what our parents did with us when we were kids. My Dad made it an occasion when we watched games on TV, and would take me to watch the Royals every July. But I do respect your opinion that baseball is boring....I feel that way about some other sports, but I don't judge those who enjoy them.

I pretend that "stupid" baseball is still going on. Not only that, but I quit my job and left my wife. All I do is watch old videos of games from the 80s and 90s.

This is a nonsensical question.
For someone with your lack of knowledge on the sport, a more appropriate question would be: why is baseball so important even when the season is over? However, you opted to embarrass yourself with this question that truly demonstrates your ignorance of the sport.
Baseball is appreciated by fans all around the world, and it certainly is not stupid or boring; not everyone shares your narrow minded view. I also find it amusing that you question our ability to read; believe me, there is plenty to read even when the season is not in session. So, please do not ask questions assuming that people share your opinion, because obviously there are many people that do not.

And because this is the baseball section, and sometimes what happens in the post-season is an important factor to some teams success in the following year.

There is a lot more to sports than just the pre, regular, and post season. The offseason is still interesting to fans because of free agent signings, trades, and managerial and ownership changes.
