Cheat or lie or deceive. The hurt, the harm, the agony you will place on the one you vowed to love and honor. The stupid idiot who believed in you and was loyal and faithful and who you have now hurt more than anyone else could hurt them. The dagger you stuck in their heart; the heart that was true and kind and good. Is it really worth that little thrill of an affair to hurt so devistatingly the one your love? Was it worth it to cause them to live in doubt and fear and pain? Would like some honest answers from people who have cheated. I'm not here to bash you; just want to know if it was so good that it was worth creating such devastation.

I am pretty sure no one who cheats thinks about it this way. But don't worry the cheaters hurt themselves too because they see how they hurt you. It is such a complicated issue rooted in human egoism and myopic lust.

I thought no one that mattered would know. I thought I was having fun and I could juggle my life. I didn't think of the time spent away from my children and of how selfish I was really being. I eventually divorced my wonderful husband and let him finish raising the children. He never got over the divorce, became an alcoholic, lost his excellent job, became homeless and eventually lost his life to an infection his body could not overcome. We were childhood sweethearts. My children turned out OK, but I know they could be so much more and he may still be alive. I also know that if my children had gone a little further their children might be having things a little easier. The person that mattered was me. I know what decisions I made with no thought of how it would affect all the people I love and for how many generations. I pray everyday for forgiveness, but every time I start thinking about this domino effect I can't forgive myself.

I was faithful for all my marriage till my husband cheated on me. Not once but four times. Yes i was an idot for taking him back everytime. Even though I hated him for what he did I wanted him to feel the same hurt that I had felt. So I cheated. It wasn't worth it at all. It just made me look like a bad person and made things worse. I would have been better off letting it go and moving on and being the bigger, mature person. Let me tell you it's NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

I have not cheated, nor have I been cheated on. I just feel bad for you and wanted to tell you I am sorry for your pain, and know that you deserve happiness and not all people out there will take advantage of your loyalty and trust. i hope you can heal from this and come out stronger than ever. Best wishes.

I'm sure they do think of those things but as to whether they care or not is a different story. What they forget to realize is that there is a thing called "Consequences" I hate it when people think that the world owes them something. Man, do I got news for them.

There are some people who love in a very selfish way, they don´t want to cause hurt, but they do, and regret of that when they are caught and realize of what they had lost.
