I agree with you. When I was growing up, the advertisements and Christmas stuff wasn't out until after Thanksgiving. But, in the past 10 years or so, it is all out before Halloween (at least it is here in Oregon). I know that it is all a matter of trying to get people to buy stuff early or to buy more stuff and forget what they bought so they have to go and buy more, but it does seem to get put out earlier and earlier ever couple of years or so.

No. They're just getting ready early. They want spenders to roll in early. Plus, lots of people like to get their shopping done before the Christmas rush after Thanksgiving.
I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal about Christmas advertisements before Thanksgiving. I mean, where is your holiday spirit? Can't one be excited for Christmas before Halloween and Thanksgiving anymore? Gezz.

Personally, I agree with you. The thing is that Christmas has become a commercial holiday and that's all it's about. Who can make the biggest sale and who gets the leg up by advertising first. Before we know it, advertisements for Christmas will be popping up in June!

Oh it started weeks ago here in my city. I heard on the news the retail industry is worried about low sales this year, so they are starting the advertising and sales early to try to boost there revenues.

I personally think we should at least get through halloween. And at least a few weeks before thanksgiving.

Yes, Christmas sales, and items should begin the day after Thanksgiving. We need to take time to celebrate one holiday at a time! Besides that is what the day after thanksgiving is for...The "Christmas sales".

I agree !00 %, it's getting rediculaus, I saw Christmas commercials before Halloween, come on advertisers, you'll be starting after Labor Day before we know it, you taking the joy out ot the holidays, by the time the holidays get here we're sick of all the ads, your taking the joy and excitement out of what before we use to look forward to. !!!!!!!!!!!

No the Christmas season should be as long as possible. If Wal-Mart is the first one to start moving the economy, that's a good thing.

I Love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday.

Christmas is awsome, and is a time of year to celebrate the life of Jesus. When Christmas stock comes out, it should give the people a sense of happiness, not wishes that they would hold off. People need to cheer up...just be happy that you get to experience it...some people dont, they never have, and they never will....thats what should be banned!!!
