I saw on a tv show last night, that the best thing a young person who doesn't have a lot of money can do is invest in a Spyder. Does anyone have first hand experience in this, and if so, can you tell me how this works and where I can go to start the process?

A spyder is nothing for than an exchange traded fund that tracks the S&P500 or S&P100 etc...
They have ticker symbols just like stocks, and trade just like stocks.

Open a brokerage account and buy the ETF with the ticker SPY. The process is exactly the same as for a stock.
