Perhaps it'll be Barak Obama. I don't think that many people had heard of him before he began running for president. I think many people will remember him as the first serious African-American presidential contendor. No disrespect, but most people didn't take Al Sharpton, Alan Keyes or Jesse Jackson seriously when they ran.. Obama is a different story.
