YES
His name is Doug Belt
I have a female friend who befriended him and NOW he is in jail....Death Row....Now called Hard 60
This is HIM
What a winner....
The man accused of murdering a Wichita woman and chopping off her head faces a growing list of criminal investigations.
Police all over the state and in Illinois say Douglas Belt is a serial rapist.
Belt already faces charges in Wichita because police say he robbed a pharmacy this fall, and he's also accused of murdering a Wichita woman this summer.
Illinois officials have charged him with three counts of rape for an assault that occurred near east St. Louis, Illinois.
But could Belt be responsible for several other rapes in the Kansas area?
More than one police agency in our area says Belt is a serial rapist. While several nearby communities are waiting for results from state labs to confirm suspicions he raped women in their area, Salina detectives say they already have a positive match.
KAKE On Your Side has learned Douglas Belt was off parole for just five months when police say he murdered Wichita woman Lucille Gallegos, and then decapitated her.
Now authorities throughout at least two states say Belt is also a serial rapist. In Illinois, police charged Belt with a high profile rape there and say more rape charges are possible. Now Salina police say they think Belt might be linked to a third rape in that city, although they can't charge him for it because the 1990 case is too old. Still, Salina police say they've conclusively linked him to two rapes they can charge -- one involving a 61-year-old woman.
But all the cases involve rapes that took place in the early 90's, so where has the Kansas native been since then? As Belt's conviction sheet shows, he was in and out of prison from 1995 on -- convicted for several crimes, from burglarizing an airplane to drug use.
This afternoon a spokesman for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation confirmed Belt is a suspect in several other rapes along through the I-70 corridor.

Not that I know of. No close personal friends are incarcerated. I do know a couple of people in prison (one murder, one arson/fraud), and I have a first cousin who has been in and out for years who's where abouts are unknown to me at the moment. ;-))
