I watch MUCH LESS TV than I did when I was younger.
I never leave it playing in the background...I don't need "company" as I am comfortable in my own skin and enjoy being alone, when I am.
Do not have, and never have had a TV in my bedroom.
I like dromedies...dramatic comedies (or comedic dramas?) shows like CSI and Grey's Anatomy. Bones and House. But I have been known to sit down and watch one hours shows on Discovery and History and HGTV.
I absolutely enjoy silence. It is actually funny how much noise is going on in the background in a quiet house. I learned and marvelled at the difference between "quiet" and "silence" just last night when the power went out...no appliance motors running in the background. No blowing air from the furnace. It got so quiet inside my home, that I could hear the noises of the traffic over the bridge about 1/2 mile away coming through my outside walls as a swish/rumble.
I have ALWAYS been a voracious reader. I would have to say that my consumption has remained just about steady through my life...maybe a little less now because of my involvement with the internet.

I have my TV on more, but I'm usually doing something else also, unless it's a show I really like.
It is more for company.
I do have a TV in the bedroom.
I like comedy, but there's not many good ones on now. There are a few drama shows I enjoy, don't care for 'reality' TV.
Sometimes I enjoy the quiet. I have always liked to read and still do.

A tad older!:) Well I am a tad older than I was 20 years or so ago so I guess that counts.
I hardly ever watch TV (except when the kids have it on when they are here)
I never leave it on for company
No TV in the bedroom
Older British comedies are my preferences and certain documentaries
Yes, I enjoy the quiet - TV seems to be much noisier these days witt the music and shouting
I've always loved reading, but yes I do read more as I've got older.

1) Far less..there is little to watch that I have not already seen in one incarnation or another.. rarely does something really original come along, this season, Pushing Daisies is my pick, followed by Samantha Who...and I suppose the premises will be short lived...back to the computer!
2) I leave nothing on that I am not watching...money is money, and money belongs in my pocket, not the electric company's bank account.
3) I have TV's in every room, and I have NO idea why!
4) Crime investigation, Comedy, Dancing with the starts.
5) Love quiet, which is just the opposite as just a few years ago, when I always had to have music blaring away
6) I read very little, as opposed to back then. I read the newspaper, the news and clips on line, play bridge on line, and do this very stupid waste of time, Yahoo Answers! I think I will be weaning myself from Yahoo Answers in the near future...when I think of the valuable time I have spent here, it is frightening. Goldwing.

2. Nope. Not really. I get distracted when I turn the TV on and I have to study.
3. Yup. I do.
4. I prefer drama. But I also like reality.
5. Sometimes I do.
6. I love to read. I read whenever I have a free time.

Nope - still watch about the same amount of TV as when I was younger; with the exception of weekends. I was too busy back then to catch much TV until late PM
Yes, my TV stays on all day and night - even when I'm at work [the cat likes it! - keeps him company]
Yes, have a TV in my bedroom; guest room; kitchen and living room! lol
I prefer drama - crime shows and HGTV..not big on reality TV.
Too much quiet makes me antsy!
Nope I used to read more....now it's in spurts and I may read 6-7 books non stop..then no more for months.

5. I prefer "background" noise, except when I'm trying to sleep.

We have the TV as a means of communication and entertainment--only 1 in this house. I watch an occasional movie; by the time a movie makes it to TV, I've seen it on Netfix. Only a few hour-long shows are watched here. We find ourselves playing mind-challenging computer games, or reading novels. Or we are out of the house for our weekly Square Dance and Line Dance sessions. We are, otherwise, very active and live in an active retirement community.

I find myself watchign far less tv, but this could be due to the fact that 90% of television is not even worth watching.
Sportscenter is usually what I fall asleep to on nights that I can't sleep
Yes, I have a tv in my bathroom also though (gotta catch the news in the morning)
Drama and comedy are good for me
Yes the quiet has become my friend
I have become very fond of books especially classic literature
