If I were to major in an art, such as design, would it be more respected in the industry to have a bachelors of art coming from a UC (or a CSU), or a private art school? Would it hurt to get a degree in art from a regular university?

My youngest daughter just received her Fine Arts degree from the University of Kansas and got an ***-kickin job, so it can be done, my friend.

CSU schools aren't really that good -- but an art degree from one would be no worse than any other CSU degree.

All of the UC schools are highly respected -- and an art degree fromone of them would be respected. UC-Berkeley, in particular, has a highly respected art department.

As for art schools, it depends on the school. For example, if you got a degree from RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), then you would have a highly respected degree.

Having a degree from a university itself is respectable..however, a UC degree hands down would be greatly respected over a CSU one.

you in basic terms do BA while you're doing non technological awareness matters and you do a BSc while you're doing a technological awareness subject. They the two the comparable. you do not notice to be a doctor in case you acquire an arts degree and you do not notice for an architect job in case you acquire a drugs degree !!!!
