i had a son 8 months ago. i gained 30 pounds, lost 30 pounds, but my breasts are much larger than before. i thought i would like having bigger breasts since mine were small Bs before, but now i'm somewhere in the Ds and it's killing me! the worst part is that i cannot find a proper fit in any bra i try! i want to try a bra fitting, since i figure that would be the smartest thing to do, but where do i go? has anyone else went through this? how much does it cost? and finally, any suggestions on a good bra? i'm fairly small, so i can't wear the full figured or plus-sized bras. any advice would be much appreciated! thanks!

For new mom's the budget can be tight, so I would suggest Macy's or JcPenny's. Both of these department stores provide a fitting service free of charge and the prices are relatively reasonable.
Bra fittings are definitely the way to go to make sure everything fits and stays in place.
Personally, I love the Ambrielle brand, but I also use Bali. Both of these brands can be found with and without underwire and in a number of styles and support.

if you'll ask your obstetrician or her nurse, they probably know of a bra specialty shop that specializes in post-surgery bras.

The fitters at that type of shop are much more expert than what you'll find at Victoria's Secret or the department stores. They also have access to bras for all shapes and sizes. I once fitted a 32J.

There is usually no charge for a fitting - it's part of the service to get you in the right foundation.

Macy's, Nordstrom, any mid to high end department store will fit you for free. Not only will they get your size right, they'll find the best bra for you.
