Locked my oldest son in a room from the time he was 12 years old -- LOL. He's a bad boy (drugs, etc.) and 29 years old now.
My youngest is wonderful though.......

Absolutely nothing different! And, in fact, if anyone actually had the chance, there is no way of telling whether the results would be better or worse...it enters into the field of "butterfly effect." Would I have save more money along the line...probably, but I have no idea what that would mean today, for my entire life would have been different. And so would everyone elses around me...for better or for worse. IN reality, probably nothing would be better, just different. I, for one, would not be willing to take that chance. I am not a proponent of the "grand scheme" of things, but exercises in "what if" are really a waste of time, fun daydreams perhaps, but useless in the real world. I will take the consequences of what I have done, what has been doen to me...life really isn't bad at all...in fact, other than pain, I have a very good one, no matter how I look at it. Love and peace, Goldwing

On a light note -After an audition I was a call back. There was turmoil in my family of origin and couldn't go. I got married had a baby went to work and the rest is history .I was passionate about it and haven't replaced that delight. Wish I could've given it a shot just to see how it turned out.

Thinking of some regrets makes my heart hurt.
"There's a pity beyond telling hidden in the heart of man".

SS- I hurt with you because I've heard this story from one of my family members.
Tell everyone what you've learned and you'll save many
others. Bless you

They say "you change the past, you change the future".
Yes, there are a few things I wish, I would not have done. Now that I know the outcome, but that is neither here nor there.
Life gives us what we are dealt, and it's not always pretty,
sometimes when things are going smoothly, you are really just waiting for the other shoe to drop. And be sure it will in time. No one said life was fair, and sometimes it really Sucks!!!!

I would have done more writing. I wouldn't have worried so much about whether others thought my writing was good enough or not. I would have just done it because it's something I truly enjoy. I would have risked ridicule to have fulfilled a dream.

S.S. I'm so sorry for what you went through. You talking about it now though may help others who are in the same situation.

I really don't look back in retrospect and think "what would I change?" because I'm happy where I am. The problem with trying to sort through and figure out what we would do differently in the past is that we may turn around only to find the future has run out on us.

Great question. I'm confused on how to answer the part I would want to change, my relationship went down the drain and I wouldn't want it, but for my now four year old...I wouldn't change that one for the world.

I came very close to joining the army. Thinking back, I really should have.

I would have loved to continue staying in my small mountain home town after my house burned down. I decided to move closer to my job and have never really felt at home here.

I've answered this question many times... YOU WOULD RISK YOUR WORLD, AND THE WORLD OF EVERYONE AROUND YOU AS YOU KNOW IT!!

There are many paths you can take in life... all leading to another place with different people... do we know that place... no... would I want to go there... I can't say for sure... but I doubt it... All you can do is the best you can in any given situation at any given time... and be at peace with yourself.

S.S. I just wanted to tell you that I did tell what happened to me and nobody would believe me way back then. When I got older and was hospitalized from complications from a pregnancy that never went full term, the doctor explained I had excess scar tissue from being molested, I was finally breathed a sigh of relief. But, when I got out of the hospital, nothing was ever mentioned about it.

There's as much white water ahead as behind, maybe I could've/should've navigated a little differently upriver, but don't know if I'd be paddling better or paddlin at all now.
