Mad Skillz
Remember when I said that 1996 was hip-hop's year of the sleepers? Well, Mad Skillz' Album "From Where???" proves my point. Who is Mad Skillz? He's a Virginia MC that's got punchlines up the as*s. Think of Skillz as the Virginia version of Big L. Not only does he punchline rap like L, he almost sounds like him too. Since I even compared Skillz to L, Skillz is obviously tight on the mic. The producers on From Where??? is the underground dream team. There are tracks here by Beatnuts, J Dilla, DJ Clark Kent, Buckwild, Large Professor, Shawn J Period, etc. There's really not much else for me to say about this album. Tight rhymes plus tight beats equals a tight album. From Where??? doesn't try to change the world or anything, but it's just great hip-hop that you can bump to again and again and again. I'm probably the only person that will give it a perfect score, but I did so because I love every song on this album. Anybody that loves hip-hop needs to check this album out.

Those are some real good ones you named right there.
I have to recommend cormega, he is pretty well known, but not as much as NAS, his former group mate.
Here always spits the truth.
