I have never heard the term used in astronomy or science.
And I couldn't find the word in any online dictionary.
Where did you hear or see it used?

I did find the word in one of those dictionaries of words that are made up:
literoid - 1. A person who takes things literally when the situation calls for a more contextual viewpoint or approach. 2. Having similar magnitude to a metric liter.
