I thought I would say African-American instead of black, so no one would be able to report me.

Iowa isn't all white. The A-A population tends to live in the urban areas. I'll mention specifically Waterloo, Des Moines, & Davenport. There is also an increasing hispanic population. Of course, compared to some parts of the rest of the country, Iowa still seems rather "white".
But, to answer your question: "no" Barack isn't the only one.

I am from small town Iowa...there aren't a lot of blacks in the smaller towns (less than 5,000-10,000) but there are a substantial number in larger towns above 50,000....there aren't a lot of towns above that number, but the overall population of all people is larger in these towns than the whole rest of the state...hence there are more whites and blacks in the cities...the rural areas are mostly white and tend to vote conservative and the urban areas are about 50/50 liberal/conservative...so the whole state generally goes to the republicans in the main election by a small margin. so the black vote in the Democratic primary is important to the primary, but not much important to the general election. I'm a white Democrat from small town Iowa that crawled through the fence to the north to Minn.

Iowa is more diverse than you think. There are many African Americans there, as well as Asians and Latinos.

It depends on which part of Iowa you are referring to, but I'm not sure he is from Africa. I think he is just an American, same as me.

Perhaps if you simply consulted the 2000 census data; which is available on line, you would not need to embarrass yourself by asking this ridiculous question!
