I'm doing a poetry anthology for my English 1A class, and I need two poems by ethnic authors. Can somebody give me the names of two authors in that category, please?

I'll expand:

I mean poets that are not European or European-American.

Do you have a teacher and text book that categorizes art as "Ethnic"?

If so, then we're in more trouble than I thought.

This question is unanswerable without knowing what country you live in.

If you live in Russia, then I am an ethnic poet.

If you live in Kenya, then I am an ethnic poet.

If you live in Brazil, then I am an ethnic poet.

If you live in the U.S., then I am a native poet.

Ethnic is a relative concept. Most of the responses above may be incorrect when critically evaluated. Most of the names above are of ethnic Americans just like Whitman, Frost, Plath were ethnic Americans.Ethnicity does not necessarily mean minority or marginality. It implies nativity. In some strict cases, the real ethnic authors may be such writers as Silko if we are referring to American Geo-political cultural area.
Double-check the concept of ethnicity or your anthology runs the risk of misleading your perceived readers.

Edit:
If you mean nonEuropean and non-Euro-American poets, you should again specify the location/region like: in the US, Canada, Russia, Malawi etc. Otherwise, there are thousands of such poets in Asia, Africa, Americas, Europe.

Lucille Clifton was a gifted writer in the late 60's 70, on through to the early 80's. She was good as I've read some of her work.
