I always squeeze the top side, and pump on the bottom.

That is how I get the toothpaste from the tube when only a little is left.

From the bottom so that I'd have less effort squeezing it when the tube becomes almost empty. It looks messy too when toothpastes are squeezed from the top.

If it looks like someone else used it (sometimes people spend the night or a couple nights at my house) I will push it from the bottom and wipe of the next quarter to half-inch off, and then put the toothpaste on my toothbrush.

From the top with the cap off and then i put the cap back on and give the bottom a squeeze to push it back up to the top.

I like bottoming. I tried topping a few times but it just wasn't for me.

Sorry, hon, we don't squeeze our toothpaste...it comes in this hard tube with a dispenser so we pump it...okay?
