(Yes, that includes 20 years and up ....)

Have you outgrown the habit, or has it just progressed to framed "artwork"?

A year ago, I found a Joy Division wall poster, which literally took up an entire wall; it was B&W and it matched my living room color scheme ... I find that I can't decorate a place without at least having some rock paraphernalia to "edge" the place up a bit

Nice, Spooky - glad I'm not the only one who hasn't outgrown this habit :)

Huevo, you're right. Some of these auction off for up to $600

Buzzkill - so true! Album artwork is great for framing. I once considered framing the art sleeve for "Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons" and building a black and red color scheme around it for my bathroom :)

Movie posters, too, are a must

Sookie - actually, now while your walls are bare is the best time come up with some creative ideas. That's my favorite part of relocating, the re-decorating part :)

Spider - I agree, occasional flyers also make for great framing items

I have several framed rock posters... Plus stuff that I've gotten signed from different bands hanging up. I grew out of the "rip it out of a magazine and cover every inch of your walls" phase a good while ago, so I've grown up a little bit ;). I don't know if I will ever grow out of putting up some of the nice posters I have.

I still do, not necessarily posters but have pictures in frames hanging all over the place. Lynyrd Skynyrd (before the plane crash), Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Brian Jones walking along together, The Rat Pack, the Who, and the emblem of Woodstock (the first one). Heck, I always get all kinds of compiments on them. lol I'd keep them up even if I didn't.
Oh,and how would I have left out the colored (perfect) sleeve with Nancy Sinatra 45 of the song "These Boots Are Made For Walking". I've also got a afghan of The Rolling Stones American Tour '72. It's about 3/4 the length of my couch.
And I've got a thermometer that is about 4 1/2 feet tall that has a picture of Marilyn Monroe and the words say "Some Like It Hot". The temperature is accurate on it too.

I guess that makes me an adult. Wooo!!!

Right now, my walls are actually pretty blank. I did a spot of redecorating a while ago, so all I've got up at the moment is a big framed Casablanca poster, but I have been meaning to get one or two, although I think I'll probably go for some more artsy stuff instead, so I suppose maybe I have outgrown posters.
Awww, now I feel old...

My walls are bare since I'm looking to paint soon but it has been a few years since I've had a rock poster up...but I still have them rolled up in the garage.

I wouldn't mind some if it were framed album artwork and not just members of the band standing around (I have a Kicking Giant poster that I still adore but it's pretty worn out).

For some reason movie posters still find their way on the walls of our home which isn't much different...hmmm.

No rock posters, but a framed 1984 Long Beach Blues festival poster. I have six album cover frames on one wall-I rotate the albums whenever the mood hits. I have six cd cover frames in the bathroom-same thing. I have five frames that hold various size issues of Rolling Stone magazine-same thing. I have photos of everyone from Dylan to Woody Guthrie to Duke Ellington to a photo of some London punks from 1977 to a Sinatra autograph.

I have one advertising a show for Jawbreaker and The Dancing French Liberals of '44 hanging by my computer. Some of the silkscreen poster artists, such as Mark Arminski, have incredible artwork and their stuff can sell for around $200.

$600. Damn, that's a lot of jack.

Edit: Mixed media Jesus Lizard painting? That has to be sweet.

I've got a Bauhaus poster in my closet as well as a framed WaxTrax! picture in the basement. Nothing wrong with being "edgy."

Oh, my basement is very happening. That's where all the action is so it would be hard to miss it. Had the Bauhaus poster been in better shape, I'd have it out for all to behold.

I've outgrown it, but after reading a question here the other day about band posters it kind of inspired me to put some back up. My favorite is my 5 foot tall Trent Reznor poster.
