does it just disturb you that republicans seek any chance to avoid taxes to help America?
BUT.....they expect government handouts for school vouchers so they can go to their private CHURCH SCHOOLS at the taxpayers expense?
I mean why do republicans expect handouts for their PRIVATE SCHOOLS?
They don't want to pay texes but sure enough when it comes to them getting theirs off Uncle Sam they are the first in line.
Even worse they start a war for oil and want patriotic Americans to pay for it. And die for it, like my brother.
Then they have the nerve to hire Blackwater and expect more tax dollars to be just tossed away.
Do all of us patriotic Americans a favor. stay off of our public roads, our public beaches, public schools, public transit etc. Take your greedy NON-TAX PAYING anti-American freeloading republican butts and move to Iraq. Send the rest of our troops home ALIVE. Keep blackwater, and leave us Americans alone!

Better still, just pack Bush, Cheney and all of their cronies and buddies off to fight their sick, twisted war in the name of their bank accounts. Let them put their money where their mouth is and send your sons and daughters back home.
Let the instigators of this illegal war go to Iraq.

The sad fact is that the public schools are failing to educate the children with most of the money going to heavy "Administration" at the top. I tutor children from schools with low GPA's in the Los Angele's Unified School District-which has-I believe-the most corrupt Administration staff in the nation. The drop out rate is over 1/3rd of the students. Many of those students turn to crime and are in prison-which costs 3 times as much per person then what is currently spent per child in this "Educational System". Private Christian Schools educate better (based on standardized tests) and cost far less then the public schools. If a parent pays for the private school AND pays the taxes for the public schools they are only lining the pockets of the greedy personnel at the top. My own child attended Private School from preschool to 5th grade. By issuing voucher's the public schools will have to "compete" for the students AND the money. The hope is that competition will lead to improvement in the public schools. I am NOT a Republican-I am an Informed Educator.

Republicans are not freeloaders. they are the masters and we are the slaves. simple. Bush did not invent the school vouchers. that was from the Clinton days. what it was originally for was the public schools were so bad and taught children so little that the country was going downhill with lack of educated people entering the work force. it was felt that with the voucher system people would be able to put their children in private schools that offered a better education then the government run schools. It was debased of course by the government and meaningless now. Bush just pushed it because he can steal money out of the program is all. He is not interested in education. afterall he never had one and he is president of the United States as he said in one of his speeches. And Republicans are like the robbers in Ayn Rands books. they exist by taking what others produce. just parasites that the American people are to ignorant or gutless to get rid of. Maybe some day. but not with the people we have now. They are terminally cowardly. Will submit and wear chains any day rather then stand up and be counted as patriots. Maybe we deserve what we are getting? probably. we have enslaved more people then any other nation in history in our short history.

You clearly know nothing about the voucher system.
Most Kids paid for with vouchers are SPECIAL ED!
Meaning there is something wrong with the kid that the public school cannot teach them adequately.
I work running the vouchers for a "private school" - a residential treatment center for kids that are offenders, drug addicts, sex offenders and mentally and emotionally disabled kids and kids that were victims of crimes too. These kids are locked in a "private" school, because they are a danger to themselves and/ or others.
Kids that cannot be in public school have to be somewhere dear. So do kids who have special needs and handicapped kids.
You just are extremely ill informed.
And I, a nasty horrible Republican am using vouchers to keep these kids in treatment and making less than a public school teacher to do so.
Or do you want all the boys who are criminals and sex offenders and the cutters and suicidal kids in class with your little kids?
You really do not know anything about anything dear.
Oh and most everything you have in this country is paid for by hard working Rebublicans, so you can whine and complain and call us names. I doubt you pay much taxes yourself - you just want to whine and complain about something.
I will keep trying to educate the little criminals so they can actually hold jobs when they get out and do something with their lives to make them better.
Get off your lazy rear and do something to help the country yourself.

You obviously have not read one thing i have written. Oh well. When the time comes you no longer can make any of your own choices, then and only then will you realize how very wrong you are.
Excellent answer Inzaratha. Good job ma'am.
(Just keep in mind dear, they're also "kids" as well. More than likely inner city?). What they do is act out what they only have seen in front of them. Yea there's something seriously wrong with our education system as well. I support the "vouchers" idea as well. I still like your answer. Trying to help troubled youngsters is not an easy job. I'm just glad you're one of the ones helping them. Just keep in mind they're still kids.
By the way Nez H: I'm not Protestant, nor any longer Roman Catholic.

I fully understand your frustration. And know that millions of Americans are feeling the same way. This is a very difficult time for all of us with partisan politics, bickering, scandals and the intense brawling between conservatives and liberals. And all I can tell you is channel what you're feeling into action. Join your local political group (whether independent, Democrat or whatever) - grass roots organizing and canvassing are very important steps for the next election. Find a way to talk to other people or a support mechanism that you can vent your frustrations to. There's Drinking Liberally, if you enjoy meeting others on a social level to discuss issues. Or there's the Young Democrats, a group that teaches the mechanisms of democracy and ways of campaigning and otherwise. Please do something - that sends a bigger message.

Yeah, all those Republicans on the welfare rolls really get me angry. I mean, c'mon, all these right wingers getting food stamps and cash assistance and Section-8 housing and free health care for their Bush-loving children. Damn freeloaders. They should be more like Democrats and not ask the government for anything. So self reliant and industrious.
Here's the facts. The 20% highest earning Americans pay 65% of the total tax burden while the lowest 20% of earners pay 1%.

See what you mean but in Dick Morris' book Outrage states that these schools students scored better between 12-17%. He also noted that there were problems with the Teachers union and that the union had only gotten the teachers a 1 % raise over the last ten years*
But I know what you mean, one of those crazy rich republicans wants to give people making $82,000 a year free health care. Isn't that insane? Take care..

Yes, the Republican's want to avoid taxes at all costs. Yet, they go out and run up enormous debt in war spending. They deny/veto bills to spend American money for domestic issues such as healthcare and education (public). Its like a person running up a credit card bill with no intention of paying it. The Republican administration has run up an enormous bill and no plan on how to repay it.

Just send in extra come April if you like to see it wasted so much. I have a feeling you will not send in an extra dime though. Libs are generous only with other peoples money.
Bye the way, If this war is for oil, why did I just pay 60 bucks to fill up my tank?
