What people think of you at first glance depends on what their point of view is and what their cultural background is.
Last week, I had a nice suit on and I bumped into some Chinese immigrants...they must have thought I was some kind of something.
I went to a bar with a t-shirt on and a guy asked me if I was a bricklayer; he said I looked like one. At a restaurant, with a t-shirt on, a waitress asked me if I was a truckdriver.
Appearances can be deceiving.
Humorously, women who see I am not wearing a wedding ring know that I am single, but wrongly assume that I was never married! Actually I am divorced and have a grown son.

most of those who told me later, that thei first impression of me is that i am a serious kind of guy and a real snob.

but i'm really not. i just don't crack jokes to people that i hardly know, and that i don't act overly friendly to anybody i meet. only those that i have known for some time and figured out their behavior and mood.

so, i'd say like most of the time first impressions are incorrect.

they think "wow...she doesn't look like a normal person.......oh god, we made eye contact........she wants to kill me now....oh god oh god oh god, christ protect me!" and i look at them and notice their discomfort and smile in a twisted way and walk away......oh, the joy of being a sociopath/psychopath
