No I'm not a fan of him but i wonder is he worth really worth $350million and do you think he will actually stay with whatever team picks him up throughout his contract or will he jump ship at the first sign of trouble?

two things are very true. No, he's not worth $350 mil,
For $35 mil a year, you could get Torii Hunter AND johan Santana. Who will help your team more

Also, if a poor sap of a team picks him up and are on a budget, whom are they going to put around him. Boras, mistakeningly believes that if you make a committment like that to Arod, that you will simply spend more money to put a team around him, but they don't.

When you take up 25-40% of a teams salary, they are stuck, then you wonder why they aren't taking any measures to win.

Hence the concept that you can't win with Arod. If the Yankees couldn't do it, I don't know that it's possible.

He's not gonna get a huge contract like that this time around. He'll have to buck up and take less money. It's not like he was worth that in the first place. Heck, if I'm gonna pay that much I want the player to be able to get my team to at least the ALCS/NLCS, if not the World Series almost every season. He never did that and was never worth that much.

I don't really think A-Rod is at fault here I mean he is an awesome player, and he will break Barry Bond's HR record. The real person to blame is his greediass agent Scott Boras who wants nothing but money. He has been scamming teams outta money for years, and his greediness shows once again with a $350 million dollar contract. Psssh you people are blaming the wrong person here SCOTT BORAS is the one TO BLAME!

I don't see anyone paying him $350 Million even though that's what he's asking for in a contract.

There's no way a team is going to let him walk away until the later half of the contract.

He has many options and many possibilities.. In case you haven't heard a Triple A League team (AAA) has offered him a job in the minors, too.. There are chances he might go to the Red Sox because of Mike Lowell being a free agent (or leaving) . Also a possibility that he will go to the Texas Rangers. Why? because he's "Been there, and done that."
But as for the answer to your question, I think he would most likely will actually stay with whatever team picks him up throughout his contract. My other opinion is he might be looking for money.. So maybe the team ewith the highest offer..

Just what exactly is Alex Rodriguez's crime? The one says he screwed her team. How? Didn't the fans boo him virtually the entire 2006 season? Isn't the ownership showing itself to be disloyal to both players and manager? So he left. What has he done to not fulfill his end of the deal? He hit 54 HRs. He had 156 RBIs. And your team's loss is his fault? He wants a new contract. If no one pays what he wants, he will either sign for less or retire (and he will make the Hall of Fame on the first ballot if he does that!) If they pay him, is he a villain? I really don't get the animosity people have for him. How do you think he compares to Barry Bonds? You really think he's as bad as that? Use a little sense, climb down off the bandwagon, and talk baseball, not gossip. If you ever turned down a raise or took a promotion for less money, then talk. Otherwise don't show your hypocrisy so openly.

I don't think any player is worth that much. I'm thinking of all the better things to spend that much, i.e., school supplies & food for needy kids, health care for the homeless, assistance for parents who have it rough raising a family, etc. Like someone said, A-Rod is a carpetbagger. He's done alot for himself, but nothing to show for the team. No championship for any team he's been with. Thus, I consider him bad luck for any team trying to win the big one.

And to Joba's_1fan, I gave you a thumbsup. ;)

Arod is the best player in the league and should be paid accordingly. He might not win championships but he puts people in the stands and sells merchandise as well. All teams want a win but I think an owner wants profits more than anything and he helps that cause. Not to mention when he is going to break Bonds HR record and that will help profits more than he does now.

A-Rod has always fulfilled every obligation of his contracts and future contracts will be no different. His value is equal what someone is willing to pay him which would be exactly the same for you and me. The best player in baseball deserves to be compensated with the best contract as will most certainly be the case with A-Rod. For anyone who believes he is not worth the money the solution is very simple, don't offer him a contract to come and work for you.

A-Rod has proven to not even be worth $252 million.
