Copperhead is right, it looks like a Nimbochromis venustus (Giraffe Cichlid), I have two of these and they are a cool fish. If this is what you have, they get a bit larger than the average african (about 10 inches). Here is a link to their profile, look under images and you can see the fish at different ages and genders.

It more looks like an Electric Yellow that has other coating. But if its not, then this is a rare cichild.
