God does not have a physical body. He does not need to sleep or eat. Psalm 121:3-4: "He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall. For He is always watching, never sleeping" The word "rested" in Genesis 2 refers to physical rest. God rested at the completion of a task well done. Genesis 2:2: "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made." God "rested" on the 7th day not out of necessity. In my opinion it is His message to observe the Sabbath as a day of rest. God is ever diligent, watching over us with love and compassion. (((Bear Man)))

What a silly question. Of course god doesn't sleep. God only naps with one eye open.

Absolutely.
If we had creation and god from get-go then it follows there was a pre-creation period when dreaming made all things possible. Once affairs of man are all settled we rest, yes; adoration is a great comforter, you know. If god's work day seems over long please remember our rest will be equal to it and then one assumes another process toward creation must begin. God understands the affairs of heart or do we
believe love of our Lord plays upon no other. This is a test.

Look around our world my friend, our society, our younger generation, our governments, the crime waves, the gangs. I was in a war to end wars, for two years I watched the dehumanization of man and, what he could do to his fellow brothers.
I go to mass every week and pray, for my soul and, for the crimes I may have committed helping our government.
It scares the hell out of me thinking God did go to sleep and said "let the world take care of itself" I'm tired. I pray for Him to look down and help us all.

God has no need for sleep because He is not a human being, He is a spirit. He is always awake to help His followers. I know He is there for us 24/7 because I've called on Him at all different times and He has always been there for me.

I suppose that without a physical body there would be no need. I do believe he is busy with another one of his mankind experiments right now though.

With everything that's happening these days it's unlikely.

No. He doesn't have any use for a human body. At least not anymore.
