Hi Third P.

Live a virtuous life. Make the focus of your life be on other people rather than on you. As it says in the Bible:

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Jesus came to this world to teach us how to live, as well as to die on the cross to save our souls. I try to live my life based on His teachings.

However, do not confuse "greatness" of soul with "perfection" of soul. Not one of us can be perfect. The only human who was truly perfect was Jesus, and to believe we can be perfect would be blasphemy. However, we can strive for greatness by the way we live.

Try to live in such a way that benefits others, whether is your profession or in your spare time. You can always do volunteer work; there are many people who could use your loving help.

Even in your everyday life, you can be kind to others, help others. You can give a smile to someone, which may cheer them up for the day. You can donate food to a neighborhood pantry, if there is one. You can donate money, if you can afford it. These are just a few examples of ways you can help other people.

The key to greatness of soul is — LOVE.

Christ taught us that the most important commandment (after loving God) is loving your neighbor. All people are our neighbors. Anything we do out of love helps us to attain greatness of soul. Another warning — do not confuse greatness of soul with greatness of ego. Do not let good deeds & charitable works puff you up into a pompous person. That is not greatness of soul; so beware of that. "Let love be without hypocrisy...." ) Romans 12:9

"This is My commadment, that you love one another as I have loved you." (John 15:12)

This is what Jesus tells us. It is so simple; yet it is so hard for so many people. Love is the greatness of soul. So strive for love, especially where it seems hard to do so.

Peace.

How can one attain a gift is your question. Well usually we wait for these things. But we can wait... maybe thats a gift. But we also are able to receive gifts, maybe that's a gift too. And what is the greatness of soul? Do you know anyone who has it? And if you do, what are they doing with it? What can they do that you cannot?

Spiritual strength takes practice.

The more you do good the easier it gets.

Sadly the same is true of practicing evil.

Do not criticize others too much as you will often wind up giving bad advice or be ignored, rather work on doing the things you want others to do. If it works for you good people will want to copy you and bad people will be shamed.

Remember that whether we go down a path of compassion or hate is very much influenced by situations we come from.

So if you see someone doing evil, treat them as you would want to be treated if you strayed. In many cases this involves tough love, and not allowing people to repeat their mistakes.

It is a matter of evolving consciousness over many lifetimes. But, in each life we have the potential to achieve unity consciousness (return to authentic being) and by discarding the conditioned ego identity to fulfill our purpose and destiny.

Loving with all of your being. Being generous without expecting something in return. Being grateful for the people and things that you have in life. Realizing that everything happens for reason. Being able to forgive and be willing to seek forgiveness. Admitting when you're wrong and not rubbing it in when you're not. Giving others the benefit of the doubt. Being nonjudgemental and open-minded. Being able to keep walls down and letting others in.

When he distinguishes himself from animals,
then he becomes a human.

When he realises that he is the highest of all
creation, then he becomes a human.

When he develops his intellect,
then he becomes a human.

When he becomes an example for others,
then he becomes a human.

When he transcends the common limitations
through his wisdom, then he becomes best of humans.
