If you are referring to metaphysics as defined by philosopher, Constantin Brunner:

By accepting the fact that despite how primitive science is at present, the relationship between being and reality is simply the intersection of psychology and physics.

That reality's responsiveness to human consciousness - the symbiotic relationship between our EM fields and electrochemistry - is why people observe a synchronicity at work and tend to personify deity to explain it.

Metaphysics is an attempted philosophy which vainly struggles to unify the divergent realms of Spirit and matter-energy. The problem is that man is here endowed with both senses for physical matter-energy and for spirit -relationship with God; but man does not yet have any senses for the vast, unknown, intermediate, bridging realm between Spirit and Matter; which by current epochal revelation is called "morontia" level which is (simply put) very much related to our next higher life as a soul with a morontia super-body and a soul mind that grasps "mota" - or soul wisdom to really experience and logically grasp the morontia realities.

The only solution to the total failure of our metaphysics is to accept the gracious compensations of continuing Revelation.

Yes, man here is also a living soul, but he has no scientific equipment to detect soul and no morontia mind to logically (or metaphysically) grasp what soul is, and what the vast morontia (soul universe) levels are.

To avoid having our philosophical logical-thinking-reasoning degenerate into futile metaphysics, we should try to integrate and unify three levels of reality: (1) Spiritual experiences with (2) continuing Revelation and with our slowly evolving (3) science findings on force-energy-matter. Sadly, few philosophers today even accept all three of those realities; and we are in an era of much confusion until all religionists, philosophers and scientists are ready to receive and commune with He the Spirit of Truth personally.

Be of good cheer, as confusion always appears before real growth as well as before potential or actual failures.

Assume the world follows a logical constant -- therefore can be abstracted into a manufactured reality.

Hence, a more concise perspective on metaphysical questions is created.

Education and the inspiration to achieve formal logic:

'Formal operational stage (Adolescence and adulthood). In this stage, intelligence is demonstrated through the logical use of symbols related to abstract concepts. Early in the period there is a return to egocentric thought. Only 35% of high school graduates in industrialized countries obtain formal operations; many people do not think formally during adulthood. '

Metaphysics

A branch of philosophy dating back to the time of Aristotle, referring to the study of what is “beyond the senses”. By the 16th century Metaphysics became synonymous with Ontology, the study of Being or Existence. For Positivism and most bourgeois philosophy today, Metaphysics is used in the sense given to it by Kant, concerned with objects which are ‘not possible objects of experience’.

For Hegel and later Marx, metaphysics is opponent to dialectics, for it deals with things or concepts abstracted from their interconnection with other things (concepts) and put into static ‘self-identical’ objects.

Newton gave physics an express warning to beware of metaphysics, it is true, but to his honour be it said, he did not by any means obey his own warning. The only mere physicists are the animals: they alone do not think: while man is a thinking being and a born metaphysician. The real question is not whether we shall apply metaphysics, but whether our metaphysics are of the right kind: in other words, whether we are not, instead of the concrete logical Idea, adopting one-sided forms of thought, rigidly fixed by understanding, and making these the basis of our theoretical as well as our practical work. It is on this ground that one objects to the Atomic philosophy.

The old Atomists viewed the world as a many, as their successors often do to this day. On chance they laid the task of collecting the atoms which float about in the void. But, after all, the nexus binding the many with one another is by no means a mere accident: as we have already remarked, the nexus founded on their very nature.

To Kant we owe the completed theory of matter as the unity of repulsion and attraction. The theory is correct, so far as it recognises attraction to be the other of the two elements involved in the notion of being-for-self: and to be an element no less essential than repulsion to constitute matter. Still, this dynamic construction of matter, as it is termed, has the fault of taking for granted, instead of deducing, attraction and repulsion. Had they been deduced, we should then have seen the How and Why of a unity which is merely asserted. Kant ... [insisted that] matter must be regarded as consisting solely in their unity.

"Metaphysics" is the estimation of the value of the things known by your consciousness. The order, the hierarchy of the values, is determined by your epistemology, the act of proving or disproving those values after identifying the object of your perception.
There is no crime or sin in thinking metaphysically, so long as one is sure of one's values.

Good thinking always leads to good metaphysics but bad metaphysics is easy to find.

You asking to get to the basic way of something without using the idea of "a way." In other words, your asking us to think about something without the idea of something there. You think there is a better way?
