It belonged to the Palestinians before they were kicked out to make room for the Jews, so how does the land "belong to Israel"?

Because self-autonomy would be a threat to the Zionist-Jewish cabal.
They would rather TAKE what doesn't belong to them--rather than live in peace.
Hence the conflicts and stealing of Palestinian land.

You have a point. European Jews were given a home state after WWII. Unfortunately, people were already there. Religion figured Palestine originally belonged to the Jews, which might be true. But sending the Jews to Palestine and taking it away from those already there would be like sending the Mohawks back to New York and telling all the Wall Street fat cats to move somewhere else.

How come the Palestinians won't let Israel let them have a state?

Because they think the land is theirs which it is not>Remember what it says in the bible the Jews came to the promised land well one big problem the Palestine's lived there already its theirs rightfully and it does not belong to the Jews.

Palestine doesn't want a state, a tiny part of the land they occupied for thousands of years. That would be like another country coming in and occupying the US because of religious beliefs, then saying 'here, you can have a state! You can have California! It is huge! You should be happy!' Of course Americans would continue fighting and protesting, because we were here and they stole out sacred land.

They tried giving them the West Bank, but the Palestinians used it as a base for missile attacks.

They did. The Palestinians would rather have war. They never had a state so what makes you think they even deserve one.
