“We are sorry, the URL you have entered cannot be displayed probably because”:

--> Yahoo Inc. is a multi-BILLION dollar corporation who just plain *can't be bothered* to spend more than pennies on the dollar for server upkeep, or hardware and software upgrades that would actually *make things Reliable* according to a reasonable standard of Fitness for Human Use.

*lol* ^_^ I know, it sucks. And the sad part is, that thing up there only covers your first line. The rest is covered below:

-->The URL we entered *for you* is incorrect because it's a 100+ character string of utter gibberish designed to foil hackers when anyone with half a brain knows damned well they *copy and paste* anyway. But we keep the longform URLs anyway because they're *impossible* for you peons to remember correctly, and so it's a good way to *force you* to use our portals and view our sponsors, isn't it?

And....

--> Actually, this one is likely *our fault*, but we can't really tell because over *half* of our workforce is outsourced to Pakistan, there's a time-zone difference, nobody there speaks clear technical English, nobody *here* speaks clear technical Pashto, and we're still getting the bugs out of Babelfish for SMS-txt messaging. So there's no guarantee that some *nutjob* somewhere hasn't just *blown up* a server and is roasting *meat* over the pretty bonfire it makes....

Again, yes, I know the truth hurts. Sorry. ^_^ But if it helps any, some of us, like myself, have been raging against this sort of Official Yahoo Nonchalance since 1998 or so, back when Yahoo Messenger was still called Yahoo *Pager* (and yes, it was still buggy and glitchy as all hell). So it's not just you here. Oh, and....

“Thanks for using Yahoo! Answers”, meaning:

--> Thanks for being a sucker for our so-called free services, where the ads *always work* even if the content does not, and where the Trolls, Nigerian scammers, spammers and webcammers get free reign because *they actually Pay* for their time here, and you don't. Unless of course you count Edna and other Trolls On The Payroll around here, or anyone with a Private Profile--and why should you, we don't.

*lol* Thanks for your time! Good one! ^_^

Severs tend to act up when they're overloaded.

It's frustrating.. Imagine servers acting up at work and God and everybody calling you ever second wanting to know when server will be back up.
