Depends....really :)
If you have a teacher/professor who is so stuck on dates that it drives you nuts..then yes, its boring as all h***....but if you're lucky enough to have one who is good, who can make you see, hear and feel history, then its great!
I love history...

No, History is not boring - it's only those who do not appreciate its value that find it boring - they are usually the types who need a load of cheap stimulation to keep their their bored little minds focused on something else. A boring History teacher doesn't make the subject boring - rise above the occasion and think and learn for yourselves.
Isn't Britney boring? Isn't Halo 3 boring?
This question is meaningless, right?

Not only is history not boring, it is fascinating. History reads like the best novel that you will ever find. Given the past facts and what is going on, you can very often figure out the next page in the "plot"
All this is assuming that you are not trying to memorize the rulers of England, their Houses, and the years of their reign. That part can be very boring if it does not include what happened during that reign so as to pull everything together.

I think this is dependent on what level it is and what it is focused on in comparison with your interests, and also where you're taught and who teaches you for classes.
If you love Japanese history, learning American history might not appeal so much. If you teacher/professor really can teach, then it makes it all the more interesting. Alternatively, if you have to learn something you don't want to learn and the person teaching you can't teach at all, then history is quite boring.
If you're referring to the events that have taken place, that may be another matter of interest..

Haven't you heard that people learn from the past? We can keep from making the same mistakes twice by studying history. It's absolutely fascinating... So many different time periods, so many places... Personally, I am a history major focusing on Ancient Mediterranean! I LOVE IT!

History has fascinated me since the age of six. How can you understand the present if you don't know about the past?

History is fascinating! It's the story of how we came to be where we are and how we are -- and new facts are continually being discovered. It's one of the most interesting things to study.

Only to the dumb. You should learn from the mistakes of those of the past, so that your future will be an easier passage.
