Well, I think they could try but they have a third rate military to Israel's first rate one plus Iran is a deeply divided country in which a war with Israel could easily cause revolution and the downfall of the tyrants.

I would not worry too much about Iran wiping out Israel. If anything, it will be the other way around. Israel needs no help from the U.S. to take care of Iran.

Were Iran to develope a nuclear weapon, they of course could not use it without ensuring their own destruction. The reason that the U.S. is eager to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is because Iran is targeted by the U.S.for imperialist domination. A nuclear Iran would mean that isn't going to happen.
