Yup, heard about that.
-- NYPost.com has an article on JBL's wife, Meredith Whitney, who is a financial analyst. On Friday, Whitney downgraded Citigroup's stock which caused $369 billion to vanish in one day creating havoc for some US stock investors.
It has been reported that Whitney has been receiving death threats, hate-spewing emails, and profanity-laced angry calls.
Former WWE Champion, JBL had plans to make a trip to his native Texas but canceled so he could be there for his wife. "I just don't want her to be alone this weekend. She tried to talk me into going, but if someone accosted her on the sidewalk or something, I don't know what I would do," Layfield said.

For the last time its NOT about JBL its about his wife. And people making investments need to know they are risking their money. You risk it, sometimes you LOSE it. Get over it. Too many people blame others for their own mistakes.

This is more about his wife than him. His wife ticked off some investors and some idiot lost a lot of money so wants to show tha the is and idiot.

Apparently his wife had to do something that costed a few stockholders a lot of money. But I don't know who's right and who's wrong. All I can say is that it is gonna be a long road to recovery for the two.
