What is mind phuck or what does it mean?

2007-11-03 14:11:49 · 10 answers · asked by Jill M 3 in Family & Relationships Marriage & Divorce

Yes I already knew this was the wrong category and probably inappropriate, but my husband said he couldn't explain it if I didn't know and an internet search didn't turn up an answer. No, I don't need hooked on phonics - it was spelled that way in a poem I was reading - apparently it is a deliberate misspelling. I am sorry if I overstepped bounds with the question, but I had no clue. Thanks to all who answered.

It's called crazy making behavior. When one person purposely and calculatedly does something to throw the other person off balance, to doubt themselves, to react to the other persons bad behavior which ends up making the sain person look like the crazy one in the end. This behavior is usually covert and done in secret, only the abuser and the partner see it. The outside world or people they both know dont usually get to see this side of the abuser, it is saved for the one they love, the one they want to mess with, it's because their insecure and need to put you down to feel superior, to have power over you. It falls under the catagory of verbal and emotional abuse. You can read about it on the internet. Look under Verbal abuse. Very interesting to read about.
