its hard but most telemarketing places dont care. also when you put in your app ask to speak with the manager or hiring manager or call back in a few days ad talk to them; explain your record and how it is false and how you're tryign to rejoin the workforce.or try to get online work or start selling stuff on ebay

It will all depend on what and how long the record is...Were they felony or misdemeanor convictions? Type of crime, how long you served time, probation or parole current. The prospective employer will look at all of this. Say you were convicted for Auto theft, I don't think a dealership will offer you a job selling cars if you stole one, same for working in a bank if you embezzeled money. Hopefully some employer will you give a chance but the pickens are slim...Make sure you are completely honest about the convictions, failure to declose felony convictions is an offense in itself and many employers will fire you for lying.

You might also want to check with the workforce commission, they maybe able to tell you who gives second chances.
Best of Luck

I strongly urge you to TELL THEM about the criminal record. Don't try to hide it - they'll find it. Just be open & honest about it. Your honesty will be appreciated.

Waffle House, Inc. is VERY forgiving of criminal convictions. They do, however, demand complete honesty.
