I've been interested in Anthropology for several years now .. and just found myself getting curious bout historical geology.

Do you know of any sites that start with the basics ?

Instead of websites I wold scour bookstores and online bookstores for used textbooks and lab manuals.

You can Google "historical geology" and get a bunch of university website hits. That might be fruitful.
