Hi, I need another example to prove that primates, including humans are innately aggressive, violent, fiercely protective of territory and property and warlike. The example I have is male Hamadryas baboons fight with each other to obtain or preserve their female harems. Can anyone think of another example

Rhesus monkey troops are aggressive in order to work out their social rank. There's some research that shows the aggression is mediated by serotonin levels in the brains of the monkeys.

Keep in mind though that while the possibility of aggression is almost certainly innate in most primates, it's not a certainty, and it almost certainly serves a social purpose.

You might be interested in reading Konrad Lorenz's "On Aggression" if you haven't already. Also, consider the bonobo's as a counterpoint, since they mediate a lot of their social problems with prosocial activity and sexual activity.

Primates even in a zoo have been known to fling their poo at the onlookers to get them to back up and leave them alone.
