Oh dear lord...you have no idea, do you? -_-
2007 was the year that reality *threw up* on my soul, ok?
Really....it's November, and *only now* are things seriously starting to look up. I *finally* got back in the local mental health system, *finally* am getting back on medication, *finally* am doing something about the HMO-oriented mess that public-aid health assistance is these days in my state....
Really....honestly. I can't emphasize this enough. This year was a total grind, really. I can count the positive developments of this year on the fingers of *one hand* and still have two, three fingers left, depending on whether or not you count TV as a development.
I finally got back in the system again....and I got to Level 6 here on Answers. Geez, how lame and pathetic am I?
And it's still a grind, really. A lot of my friends have gone missing, and though I am trying to contact folks, I'm not getting much of a rise out of people.
So yeah....I spent most of this year on the ragged edge of a cliff--hanging on, and not ending my own life. The only thing that kept me going some days was that I didn't want to die alone, *and also locked up* in a damned psych ward where *nobody* would be on my side.
I hope, really hope, that 2008 is better. -_- I'm not holding my breath though. People are crazy these days, and not in a good way.
Hope this helps. Thanks for your time.

It's been good, bad, and ugly.
Good: I went to Istanbul this year.
Bad: I had to attend court to give evidence against my neighbours' ex partner who is mad bad and dangerous.
Ugly: I have seen a few horrible things happen to other people this year as well.
So overall, pretty bad out there, but for me personally it's been okay.

It's been a bit of both - I've had better years & I've had worse years, but if you can get to the end of it & say "I made it" you're better off than most people. Then you look ahead to a fresh year, & better things.

Apart from getting older, each year has been getting better for the last 15. That's how long I have been with my hubby, and I am VERY happy.
