There's this guy who I haven't seen in almost three years. We were neighbors for two years and hung out and we went to the same high school. He knew I liked him back then and I would go to his games because he was on the football team.
While I was waiting on the train to take me home he comes up to me and we haven't seen each other in almost three years.
We were talking and he then asks me if I go to my college football games and I said no. Then he says "Oh cuz I'm on the football team at my college and my team is playing against your team pretty soon." I told him that was cool and then he quickly said it was nice seeing me and turned around and left.
I feel like yesterday he was inviting me to watch him play football, but I'm not quite sure. Does it sound that way

I wouldn't read too much into his comments. If he wants to have a relationship, it is not apparent from what you described. Give it some time and see if he makes any more of an effort.

He wants you to watch him and tell him how great he plays. It's a setting where he feels comfortable.
