I'm asking because I just found out that the new Sigur Ros album is being released on Monday, along with their live DVD/documentary, and I can't wait to buy both.
Are there any albums due for release that you're excited about?

I think Modey Lemon will be releasing an album sometime next year, I'm also anticipating something new from Wolf Parade pretty soon. Other than that, I've gotten the new albums I wanted from "She Wants Revenge" and "Radiohead" :)

Steven Wilson (the lead singer of Porcupine Tree) is doing a side project with Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth) and Mike Portney (Dream Theater), I'm extremely excited about it, but they haven't even started recording... yes... I anticipate that long for albums....
I really can't think of anything right now, I'll get back to you on this.

Awwww, poor rukrym, if it makes you feel better, NYC is having a cold front too.
And I think Supergrass might have a new album (they were working on one) but a member's injured so it might be on heavy delay.

Definitely Coldplay's next album, because Parachutes < A Rush of Blood to the Head < X &Y. And X & Y is my second favorite album of all time. If the trend continues, their next album will either be my second or first favorite album ever, which makes me have some pretty high hopes.

Shania Twain is suppose to come out with an album in 2008. She always does a good job. So that will be exciting - especially after she's been off for a few years.

I usually find out AFTER the fact if a band I like has released something new but I would really like to hear some new stuff from The Strokes and Cursive - they are both due to release a new album.
Sadly, nothing due to come out that gives me reason to get excited.

Next year sometime both Alice Cooper and Panic! At the Disco are planning to release albums, so I'm looking forward to those.

None...because I have so much music now that I don't get around to listening to it all. There is only so much time in a day. Many of the artists no longer interest me.
