Why does leap year come every four years?

Because one year actually is 365 1/4 days not 365 so every 4 years 1/4*4 =1 which means we need to make 366 days so we add one to Feb.

do you want the full explaination based on the rotation of the earth in its orbit around the sun, causing time lapses throughout the day that add up over the years

or would a more simple explaination do.

I like the way the local appearant noon occurs 15 minutes before or after 12 oclock local (noon local time).

I also like the way the earth in circling the sun, as it rotates affects the time of LAN.

pretty cool isn't it.
