WHY DO YOU CARE? I swear Pats fans have to be the most insecure sports fans I have ever meet in my life. You guys are part of the reason that my dislike for the Patriots is begining to turn into hate. The Pats would be at the top of my **** list if years of hating the Steelers hadnt kept them there. Its a free country we have a right to our opinion just like you have a right to yours.Go cheer for your team and get over it.

he's been arguably the best QB in the NFL over the course of this decade, and is one of the all-time best. he consistently put up good stats with the likes of Deion Branch/Troy Brown/David Patten. he took the likes of Reche Caldwell/Chad Jackson to the AFC Championship Game. he put up one of the best statistical seasons in NFL history in his first season with an elite receiving core. yes, 2007 was the very first year he had an elite receiving core something Peyton Manning has had virtually his entire career. he's proven he can do more with less supporting talent than anyone in the league. i understand people "hating" (envying really) his success, but give the man his due respect. also, having a child out of wedlock didn't help people's opinions despite the fact they didn't know she was pregnant when they broke up. it's not like he's the only man to have an illegitimate child. what i don't get is why people want to bash him as a person. people who have met and know Brady all say he's a humble person. a lot of people want to pick out one or two things he's done and say he's an a** or a prick, but those same people have probably never met him and therefore cannot accurately pass a judgment on him. finally, i know my response will get negative votes but i don't care. i always have been and always will be a Brady fan, but i'm not a true Pats fan. i've also never fell for the Peyton Manning is the best thing since sliced bread mindset so many appear to have, P. Manning despite his regular season achievements always struggles when the game matters most.

There are a few reasons:
1) People hate perennial winners because people like to see competition. Think Yankees, Cowboys in the 90s, Duke basketball. People can't stand to see someone make it look so easy to succeed so often because most of us have to work so hard to succeed.
2) People are pissed that the Patriots cheated (the whole video thing) and basically just had to pay a fine.
3) It's always controversial to run up the score like the Pats have been doing this season. I don't have a problem with it (I subscribe to the "it's the defense's job to hold the score down" theory) but a lot of people do.

Tom Brady is NOT doing it in the natural flow of the game. He and the Patriots are running up the score. Manning and Favre would never do that. Any record Brady may set will have an asterisk next to it.

People could really care less until it is brought up all the time, especially in Y Answers. Like here it is again, go figure. We are capable people, we can read newspapers and watch highlights and so forth. Great, its your favorite team, yippie! Let it go, keep it to yourself. The patriots and any records they make will still not get you anything. If you want to enjoy it, fine, go ahead, dont expect the whole football watching world to do so with you.

Breaking Records isn't the problem.
The problem is this .....
If you're leading a game 35 to 0 at halftime, the only reason you would come out and keep throwing the Ball down field would be to Humiliate your opponent.
That shows absolutely No Respect and No Class.
