Sattar Nawrous, a spokesman for the Ministry of Displacement and Migration, said the al-Azawi family was among 3,100 that have returned to their homes in Baghdad in the past 90 days.

"In the past three months, the ministry did not register any forced displacement in the whole of Iraq," said Nawrous, who is a Kurd.

god will the grandstanding ever stop, in hopes that one day liberal extremists will finally sit down and shut the xxxx up.

I'm just hoping we do something with this "window of opportunity" this time. We had one at the very end of the war but the lack of planning all around squelched it making the followon nation building a royal pain in the butt. This current window will last until spring but probably not much longer. The army is just plain too small (thanks to Billy Bob Clinton) too keep up the surge much longer then that. Still, that buys time for Iraq, the UN, and NATO to get their act together and make the world a better place.

Deaths count quantity is down. Violence did decline, yet that's rather no longer the entire project. that would not let us know something approximately political technique. Which they desire to verify that us to get out. Iraqi gov is taking summer season trip. that's solid sign that violence have declined, yet there have been ~0 progression on political front. it rather is the entire factor of this surge. US troops have accomplished their job and that's now as much as Iraqis. If Iraqis do no longer do their job the entire ingredient could desire to fail. we will not be responsive to for constructive till few months later. don't get too excited merely yet. This conflict became on no account approximately who killed what share. i'm hoping GOP realizes that this entire Iraq conflict ingredient is little extra advantageous than counting lifeless bodies in Iraq.

I said before the surge began and how liberals we still preaching doom.
That it isn't smart to bet against US troops.

Now there is going to be a lot of back peddleing, changing of positions, etc etc.
Hillary can say she voted for the war and thought it was good of the surge and hold Obama with his anti-war rants.

I am looking forward to seeing how liberals spin this one.

If the surge is successful, the only politician who can claim credit for it is John McCain, who took the heat for criticizing Bush years ago and lobbied hard for a more rational plan in Iraq.

If I were a general in the field I'd be very worried. It's possible the insurgents have withdrawn to recoup and plan a new strategy.

If they try, their Evil Leftist allies, like Code Pink, will scream bloody murder.

They're stuck with their defeat for America attitude. It'll cost 'em big time next year.

The fact that 3000 families have returned to their neighbourhoods is absolutely amazing. I would have never known had you not asked this question. The news in LA hasn't had the guts to print or televise anything like that in years.
