Just like the leftover food etc is being composted, why not the leaves as well?

I personally think this is a great idea but its hard to convince everyone to do this. There would have to be a lot of community education and training to make this work.

Do you really think everyone would compost them? Probably not so bagging them seems like a better option.

There are communities that require their residents to compost.

Most cities do not, due to the lack of composting space, and most importantly, not wanting to provide rat habitat.

If you feel strongly about this, contact your city government.
