Like another answerer said, there are catfish festivals all over the state of Louisiana. The one in Des Allemands is the first that comes to my mind firsts, tho. I suppose it's because it's closest to me, and around these parts, Des Allemands is, or was, rumored to be the catfish capitol of the world.

There are a few catfish festivals in Louisiana. Which one you talking about? Mississippi, Alabama and Texas also have them also. Probably other states too. Catfish are yummy, that's the reason why.
