I just told you: Don't Plan!! (See your last question).
Head out one morning w a few triple AAA books in the car for motels and as you approach an area look up what might be there. We gotta talk!
Don't be a tourist--be a traveler. Big difference. The only solution here is take me along.

If you decide to take a road trip, around the country I recommend southwest Colorado be one of your stops in and around Durango, and Silverton beautiful area, if you like the mountains. Another is the Grand Canyon, another beautiful piece of America, I also liked the area around Mt. Rainier Wa. I also liked the area around northern Idaho and Montana, I guess as you can see I like the mountains, I've been to and on the ocean since I was in the service (navy), but I never really cared for it as much as I like the mountains. Oh it had it's good moments when ever there was big storm I thought that was exciting, liked the spray of the sea in my face, still I never could get the satisfaction of being in the mountains like I do when I am, in the mountains. As for histerical, well there again Silverton is very historical, if you like old mining equipment and the stories behind the mines. There is one more place I could think of that I thought was fasinating and that is Carlsbad Caverns in Carlsbad NM.

LONDON - THE TOWER, THE EMBANKMENT AND BIG BEN (sorry had caps lock on there) Madam Tussuad's, the Planetarium. Then pop out to Surrey Hampton Court, Chessington, take a trip along the Thames (river) Oh such a lot in and around here, like Windsor Castle, Bushey Park and moving out further there is a lot more to be found both to the West and the north and we are almost next to Wales with its Port Merriam (as in The Prisoner) and up north to Scotland and Edinburgh's Castle etc., and a short plane flight and you are in Ireland. gotta go now, but hope that gives you plenty of scope.
Love from Dot.x.

In the US I'd suggest you visit the state of Virginia. There is a lot of history, there are the mountains, the Atlantic Ocean, farms, and wonderful cities, it is close to Washington DC, Baltimore, MD, Atlantic City, MD, and much more. On 'The Peninsula' you find the finest of our military. The Navy Shipyards are in Norfolk and Newport News. In Hampton there is the Air Force. That peninsula is bordered by the James and the York Rivers, both historically significant. In the mountains there is hiking, camping, fishing, boating, white-water rafting, and you can hike part of the Appalachian Trail. Virginia is for lovers.

nicely, the roads in Costa Rica tend to by using narrow and curvy, as its somewhat mountainous, and the drivers are no longer as careful as i'd prefer. lots of the main significant roads are no longer in undesirable shape yet they are able to get slightly tough in much less populous aspects. My effect is that crime isn't a substantial difficulty different than in aspects of San Jose and on the Caribbean coast; and oftentimes used its extremely low by using interior reach standards; nonetheless, some elementary warning is in all possibility a solid concept. besides, you will in all possibility have lots of exciting.

I don't know where you are but, if Northern California is near by, definitely I would recommend that. Other than Hurst Castle there are not very many historical sites but the nature is incredible, especially north of Cambria...will you take me...please, please, please?!!! lol
