I absolutely love the name Olivia.
I love the sound. I love the rhythm. I love the meaning of Olive Tree because it represents peace. The only thing that I am not sure that I like, is how popular it is. Currently it is # 7 in the US. However, a couple of years ago it was at #4 so it is on it's way down. Perhaps it will not be too common shortly.
Also, the thing about popular names is that they are becoming less popular, so even though Olivia is at number 7, only 0.7% of all babies born last year were given that name. Less that one percent is not really that much.
I love the name Olivia, but only you can decide if it's right for your child! Good luck choosing the perfect name!

I think it is a lovely name, but the point is, what do you think of it? Everyone has opinions. My youngest is called Ellie and loads of people in my family hated the name, but now I couldn't imagine her being named anything else. Pick a name that you are 100% comfortable with as it will be with your child for a very long time.
I do like it though personally

It's a lovely name, but it was number 7 last year, and will probably be higher this year. For that reason alone I would not choose it. I don't want my child to have half a dozen other kids in her class with the same name.

I think it is very played out, I have a niece who is 3 and there were four olivias in her daycare class

Ophelia .... Beautiful but not overdone like Olivia

like it but i depends on the middle name.....it flows great with some. Other middle names ruin the entire name

It's really nice. If you want a popular name go for it, but if you're looking for a more unique name, maybe keep looking.

I think it is very pretty. I wanted to name my daughter that but we already had one in the family.
