I love "Rebecca" with Joan Fontaine and Lawrence Olivier. I know the lines to the script, I've seen it so much. My favorite character was the housekeeper.

We had black and white tv and swore we saw color!! That's the difference between childhood then, and childhood now! We were a true family!!!

"Jane Eyre" with Joan Fontaine and Orson Wells. I also really like "Rebecca". In fact, just about any movie with Joan Fontaine was good.

"It's A Wonderful Life" James Stewart and Donna Reed. It's a wonderful story. I own it, but I usually watch it the most at Christmas time. The love between young sweethearts, their struggles and failures. This movies shows how people do pull together during tragedy for a man who gives so much of himself for everyone else and asks for nothing in return.

"Casablanca". Especially the fact that a supporting actor (Claude Rains) got all of the good lines. But, I still don't understand why a female playing a French patriot sang a Portuguese song (a "fado") while playing her guitar.
