You are talking of the bluecoats and redcaps and such like beings.They say that if you actually see one you are going to die.They like other mystical forms and beings,exist in between universes,or parallel realities.Many people see things out of the corner of their eyes,things that skitter across the floor ,but are never there when you look directly at the place they were.Even your own mind can lie to you,there are those that see,but such things are never admitted to.The immortals shall walk this earth till the end of years, guarding the path only the few may tread.

well, i can't see the air i breathe, or gravity, but i believe in them !
lol - sorry, i know u mean things like ghosts / fairies, etc...... those kind of things i'm not too sure about. i try to keep an open mind, but would need more convincing.

I only know what I can see exists, what I hear exists, what I feel exists,,,,,,,,yet my interpretation of these might not stand up once scrutinised.
If I cannot see something around the corner I cannot know it is there.

That depends, I can't see cold and flu viruses,but I believe in them. I can't see oxygen,but I believe in it.

Yes and no. Somethings can be proven without sight somethings that cant be proven at all have a probability to exist. Like life on other planets it cant be proven but its a probability.
