I'm looking for court cases that have to do with regulation of real estate. Such as can a city/state pass laws regulating the conversion or destruction, etc. of a building. Also any cases dealing with historical zoning. Thanks!

I am looking for actual major cases, preferably supreme court cases. It does not matter which state it is from.

So far you have described about 10,000 different cases. First of all, what state are you dealing with. Second, why don't you describe what the city/state is trying to do. I might be able to help with a little more info.pp

Are you actually wanting someone to give you case numbers?
Or just information.
Cities have the right and do make laws and regulations about what can be built in certain area. Otherwise you would have a jumble of house brick and wood and trailers and liquor stores and bawdy house, daycare and such all mixed together. If you want to build you get a permit and look at what you want and decide if it fits the area, If you want to tear down you get a permit so they can be sure it is done safely. If someone wants to protect a certain area they work to make it declared a historical area and then the regulations get even tougher.
I'm assuming you have a problem with a purchase you made. Live with it, or sell and move. There has to be some form of laws and enforcement or the entire world would be worst than it is now.
