No, not at all.........If I was hoping to find a friends name listed in the obituaries that would be like wishing them dead. Why do you ask that? Doing a project for school......Because this is one of those questions that really serves no purpose unless it is for a sociology survey.

I keep hoping to see "myself" in that part of the newspaper...
...So I can finally disappear to that pristine island resort beach community forever, selling surfboards, smoking good "Gone Ja," bartending on the side, keeping a constant low key buzz on Mai Tai's, getting permanent with a local girl who worships me as she should and I worship her the same way, and every thing's always cool, with the exception of an occasional Typhoon that destroys everything and everybody above ground every few years...
"Paradise" DOES have a few drawbacks, but...
No place is "perfect..."

No try to avoid glimpses even though I know few people in this area. You'd have to be very sick to want to see a friend listed wouldn't you?

Yes, I did that recently...she was dying of cancer and in soo much pain,,,and lost so much weight,,,and was too weak to sit up on her own..and her mind would wander...so, yes I did hope to find her listed...finally did..she's at peace now.

Ha ha one time I read it and my name was on it. I wasn't sure if I was alive or dead. Yurns out I am alive. who would of thunk it
