I know it's the red-headed holiday stepchild and we all talk trash about it, but I bought one today and I'm scarfing some of it. It's not bad.

My Hubby goes crazy for the stuff and cannot wait until it hits the stores. He even orders it online during other times of the year. I haven't given it the old school try but will now that I know others eat it. I even found an old family recipie and am going to try to make some. It's got to be cheaper than the $35 he pays for one small one online.
Hey by the way. What is a red-headed holiday stepchild? I have red hair and have every line but that one. It's cute, not offensive at all. I look at all the money women pay to try to get the real red hair I do and figure I must have something special. Plus I'm Irish and have freckles and green eyes. I don't think freckles and blond would go too good together. Not as fair skinned as I am!!!

Hi Rob,
You know, I actually enjoy fruit cake.
I always buy the round fruit cake that comes in a Christmas tin, or the ones that are in the long, square packages.
Mmmmmm, you've got me wanting some.
Here in North Carolina, we have what's called Ice Box Fruit Cake.
You make it with crushed graham crackers, marshmellow cream, red cherries and add walnuts or pecans.
It is so good.
I also like crushed up carrotts in fruit cake.

They make a good door stop. And you can re gift them for any occasion. Warning: Fruitcakes are not meant to be eaten, just passed along.

I love fruitcake and the more fruit and nuts the better!! And it's great because everyone gives you the ones they got!!

I have never had Fruitcake, maybe this year i will try it would a glass of milk go with it or would coffee be better.

The fruitcakes I've tried taste like play do, maybe yours taste better. They are pretty and wonderfully colourful though.

I have had execellent fruit cake that was made in texas, just add some rum to it . Its fanstic.

never had it but I cant bring myself to eat something that looks like a giant turd with pcs of fruit instead of corn
