My Dad is one in a million. He was one who was strict, but fair. I don't think I thought so when I was a teenager but after growing up I now he was right.
He taught me wrong from right. He taught me that by liviing up to the highest set of standards possible that I could attain anything I wanted in life.
He taught me to put God first. He taught me that all things are possible with God and that in God you will find someone who is there when it seems like no one else is.
He taught me to treat others with the same respect that I would want.
He taught me that everyone has opinions and we should respect one another's opinions as everyone sees everything in different lights.
He taught me that education is #1. I'm still learning today by working on my PHD. He instilled a love for learning that I still haven't lost.
He taught me how to handle money. How to make money grown and prosper and is still always there offering advice in my own businesses today when I need them.
He taught me that everyone make mistakes and does things that they are not always proud of. He taught me that forgiveness is much bigger than revenge or dislike.
He taught me never to use the word "hate" because it is too close to the devil. I don't think to this day I have ever "hated" anyone and never will.
He taught me to love. He had such an open heart and had so many friends and others who love and admire him.
He taught me to live my life in the correct manner so that when I do pass on people will remember the good, not the bad.
He taught me everything I know. I have been and still am truly blessed. He is dying now of cancer and we spend hours talking about things. He has so much to share.
I couldn't have asked for anyone better.
I am so sorry that your Dad passed when you were so young. Hopefullly your Mother or another family member was there to guide you through the rough times and years. May your Dad rest in peace. I am sure he is proud of the caring and loving person you have become. Just because he isn't here physically does not mean that he has not been by your side guiding you when times called for that.
Wonderful question from a wonderful person!!

My dad growing up had a temper that was terrible. No matter what someone did or said it wasn't right. But, over the past 7 years or so, he has been on some sort of medication, along with all the others he now has to take, and the one medication he takes makes him so smooth and mellow it is like another person. He never used to say "I love you" to anyone except my mother. Over the past two years, when I call my parents for any reason, and he happens to answer the phone, before hanging up or giving the phone to my mother, he will say "I love you". That is probably the most touching and loving thing any father can tell their child. No matter how old or young. That has had such an impact on my life it is unbelievable! Thanks for asking!

My dad was always there for me. He taught me how to ride a bike, played row your boat on the lounge room floor every Saturday and Sunday night.
He use to cook good food when my mother was out working and clean the mess up too.
He grew a veggie garden so we would have plenty of fresh variety to eat. And he taught us how to be kind to animals.
My dad was the best dad ever.
When I had a family of my own, he took on the role as a Grand father. He was always there for my daughters, night and day. He nurtured them as he nurtured me.
What did I do for him?
When he and my mother became older, I had them live with me and my family. I gave back all the love they gave us and nursed them until their departing day.

Love you, my mother and Father.

My dad helped me with math when I had trouble doing it. He was the reason why I passed that class. He also helped me with an essay I did in History. I love him.
